M.Gate

M.Gate is a comprehensive switching gateway to manage payment or non-payment transactions to multiple acquirers or third parties effectively. M.Gate allows the operation entities to be carried out very efficiently, and provides for cross-application interaction and reporting.  M.Gate also offers the capability to implement M.POS' unique modular mobile commerce applications, like M.Recharge, M.Lottery, M.Banking and M.Loyalty.

M.POS Terminals are backed up by a world class transaction switching gateway incorporating database driven transaction processing system to ISO8583 bank messaging standards.  M.Gate has been designed to accept and process very large numbers of concurrent terminal connections and transactions. The result is that a banking acquirer receives a leased line link to its bank host, and is relieved of the task of maintaining the complex and costly infrastructure required for large numbers of EFTPOS.

M.Gate:

- Switches transactions of various types to payment acquirers, or to third parties for non-financial transactions efficiently

- Provides highly scalable terminal population support through utilization of telecommunications access switches

- Simplifies terminal management and interface from the perspective of banking acquirers

- Provides full reporting ability on transactions and telecommunications usage per terminal, per merchant

- Allows for delivery of multiple services to EFTPOS terminals

- Provides with TMS, a sophisticated terminal application management, including remote download

M.Gate can be enhanced to deliver customized functionality for particular merchants’ terminal. M.Gate is the tightly interwoven suite of back office servers. It shares information and services through a comprehensive middleware layer which exchanges metadata and data efficiently, and independently of underlying operating environment or database technology. M.Gate is the true engine of the total offering.

M.Gate provides cross-application interaction and reporting. This is important if one application has to be activated from within another. For instance if a pre-paid voucher sold using M.Recharge, and payment has to be effected through M.POS terminal, and loyalty points have to subsequently be registered through M.Loyalty. A customer may then have to receive a statement which reflects aspects of each facet of transaction.

With M.Gate the complexity of operating multiple mobile services is somewhat simplified, reducing operation overheads and allowing much more sophisticated services to be delivered to a variety of customers.
