11 OCT 2011 - Mpos Australia Successfully Developed as a Third Party Agent in Australia
Mpos Australia is pleased to announce that it has just finished its first quarter as a Third Party Agent in Australia.
Mpos Australia was founded in 2003 and since then has developed a suite of products that allows both retailers and taxi operators access to low cost merchant facilities.
Starting off as a Master Merchant, Mpos Australia developed its business becoming a Third Party Agent (TPA) and Independent Sales Organisation registered with the Schemes. Mpos uses Cuscal Limited as it's Acquirer.?
"We are the first independent supplier of Merchant Services outside of the banks in Australia. Gaining TPA status in Australia has been a difficult task," said Chris Kelsey, founder of Mpos Australia. "When we needed to grow our business we required a powerful terminal and back end infrastructure. Without the strength of the M.POS products, and their support team they have, it is hard to see how we could have achieved what we did. We are now supplying terminals, card processing infrastructure and settlements for Visa and Master Cards, Diners Club and Amex transactions.

Mpos Australia have also developed their own Key Injection Facility, one of the only five in Australia. This was a major milestone in their development as they are able to conduct all testing and key injection in a secure and compliant facility
The entire Mpos Australia operation is now completely PCI DSS 1.2.1 compliant, we now have what would be the most compliant operation in Australia.
Mpos Australia has now begun its roll-out into the market and is receiving a very positive response from Merchants around Australia. Many of the retailers that are approached by Mpos cannot believe the savings that can be made. "We have been able to show retailers how they can save thousands of dollars per annum on merchant fees just by switching to Mpos Australia. There are no changes to their current settlement facility, only real savings on every transaction," said Sue Tapper, Director of Mpos Direct, one of the Third Party Agents who sell the Mpos product in Australia.
